LUNKER DERBY
WELCOME RECEPTION
FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 11th, 5 pm - 9 pm
Come to Moby’s Pub on Salt Spring Island to register and get the derby details. $150 per angler includes a burger and a beverage on welcome night, the Tailgate post-derby BBQ wrap and awards and a 8-pack of Phillips Brewing Tilt Lager. $125 of your angler fee will be donated. On Friday night, hang out for the now legendary Calcutta Auction (see Event Page) to potentially “own” the boat that catches the biggest fish and, by doing so, win the big pot. There will also be limited entry raffles for everything lures to an Islander TR3 reel and more.
THE DERBY
SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 12th
All anglers must have a saltwater fishing license and follow local rules and regulations. All boats must return to the Salt Spring Marina, and all fish must be weighed by 5 pm. No weights will be taken after 5 pm. There will be prizes for the biggest Chinook salmon, runner-up biggest fish, and mystery size.
TAILGATE BBQ, AWARDS, AUCTION, AFTER PARTY
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 12th, 5 pm - LATE
Tailgate BBQ presented by South End Sausage, Cassette Cafe and Dive Bar and Pacific Prowler at Moby’s Pub. Included in your angler fee are an insane BBQ meal and a beverage.
The awards ceremony will be held on the patio (weather permitting) at 6 pm. More limited entry raffles before partying the night away.
At 9 pm, we will party the night away with TBC band.
