WELCOME RECEPTION
FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 12th 5pm - 9pm
Come to Moby’s Pub to register and get the derby details. $150 per angler includes, burger and a beverage on welcome night, the Tailgate post derby BBQ wrap and awards and a 6 pack of Service Station Lager. $125 of your angler fee will be donated. On Friday night hang out for the now legendary Calcutta Auction (see 2025 Event Page) to potentially “own” the boat that catches the biggest fish and by doing so win the big pot.
THE DERBY
SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 13th
All anglers must have a salt water fishing license and follow local rules and regulations. All boats must return to the Salt Spring Marina and all fish must be weighed by 5pm. No weights will be taken after 5pm. There will be prizes for biggest chinook salmon, runner up biggest fish, and mystery size.
TAILGATE BBQ, AWARDS, AUCTION, AFTER PARTY
SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 13th 5pm - late
Tailgate BBQ presented by South End Sausage, Cassette Cafe and Dive Bar and Pacific Prowler. Included in your angler fee you get an insane BBQ meal and a beverage.
The awards ceremony will be held on the patio (weather permitting) at 6pm Live auction will kick off at 8pm inside. An online silent auction will run through to 8pm on Sunday Sept. 14th online. (see silent auction page)
At 9pm we will party the night away with Nautical Disaster, the Tragically Hip tribute band.
